Tuesday 30/07/13
WOD with Hammer, really fun modified a few movements. Heavy deads & squat cleans combo was a killer. 4 x back squat E2M was good - felt ok, might be getting stronger! 70 x 2 75 x 3
IWSC Speed squats on spiderman contraption - 10 x 2 EMOM @50kgs Not really all that speedy.... RLD 5 x 5 @ 50kgs Lunges 4 x 6 started on 45kgs, weight felt fine for right leg forward, then right hip said no. so 25 x 1 35 x 3.
Wed morning skill - the elusive muscle up! Yes, 1 in the bag, now I just have to repeat it to make sure it wasn't a fluke.
Food - according to dietitians plan. actually felt hungry this morning before WOD, then hungry again at about 9am after shake, banana and muesli bar post wod.

Saturday 3rd Aug Snatch 5 x 1 @ 80 = 32.5 These felt ok, light & getting up easy. No shoulder pain. Clean 5 x 1 @ 80 = 50. Also felt good. No jerking yet, feel like the shoulder trouble starts when my arms are in full flexion. Front squat 5 x 2 @ 80 = 60, did 65 because that's what Kristy had on the bar. A little heavy but ok. Annie with Hammer, Kristy & Lance just because 6.19
Food. Good up until 5pm when I turned into a grog & burger monster.
Tuesday 6th August Snatch 5 x 5 @ 70 = 30kg. Wow, 5 reps is a lot. Felt good, no misses. Back squat 6 x 2 @ 80 = 65kg. Feel like I can get heavier High clean pull 5 x 5 @ 65kg.
Food, good food but hungry day. Switch up carbs at lunch to rye bread instead of rice and not sure if I subbed the correct amounts.

WOD AM - benchmark x 2 with run. Pretty happy with the time, first lot of pull ups sucked, have forgotten how to kip. Running could have been faster.
BB PM Back squat 6 x 2 @80 = 65. Hurt my back more than anything. Need a levator scap replacement. Clean 5 x 5 @ 70 = 42.5 weight felt easy... at first. last set was a grind. hang snatch pull 5 x 5 @ 45. No jerks.
Mobes - lots of it.
Food - also lots of it. was working from home so head was in the fridge every 10 mins. banana, WPI, apple, muesli bar, cheese on toast, then more cheese on toast, then just some toast, eggs on toast after BB. Lesson from buying the loaf of rye bread is don't buy anymore rye bread.

10/08/13 WOD - FGB, 313 wanted over 300, but really wanted 100 each round. missed out by 1 on last round.
BB Club Snatch 6x4 75% @ 30kgs. I really want to be able to lift heavier, but my 1RM sucks Back squat 6x3 80% @ 67.5 felt good Clean pulls 5x5 @ 67.5
13/08/13 WOD - Thrusters & T2B. was keeping up with Em on the thrusters but she lost me on the T2B.
BB Club clean 5 x 4 @75% 45, 47.5, 50 x 3 went heavier than 75% because it was feeling to light back squat 6 x 2 @ 80% 65 (should have been 67.5...) hang snatch pull 5 x 4 @ 50kgs felt ok.
Food, good except for the weekend sucks. no self control when food is in front of me, ate half a loaf of sourdough with a variety of toppings, dinner out both friday and saturday night. booze was at a reasonable level. checked in with dietitian, lost 600gms in three weeks... not sure if that is a win or not. so used to 1200 calorie/12wbt world where people drop 3kgs in 3 weeks.

Friday 16th Snatch 2 x 3 @ 35 kgs. These were supposed to be 5 sets, were rubbish so I went to a two position floor/hang for 3 x 3 @ 25kgs. Back squat 6 x 4 @ 67.5kg Hang clean pull 5 x 4 @ 67.5kg this was kind of light, but was being lazy Jerk 5 x 3 @ 35kgs. get violent!! This session too soooo freaking long. Wasn't into it......
Saturday 17th Cleans 4 x 3 @ 80 = 80% Back squat 6 x 2 @ 67.6 = 80% Snatch pull 5 x 5 @ 45kg Snatch balance 5 x 4 @ 15kgs. I'm RUBBISH at these.
Sunday 18th CFNQ comp. Fun. Bruises...

Monday WOD, felt good. tried to keep run fast. wasn't so easy on the second round..
Tues WOD on about 2 hours sleep. bar got heavy on push jerks, the rest of the bb movements were ok. only did 10 pullups instead of 20. got to get more practice on kipping. Tues BB Snatch 5 x 4 @ 30kg I think these are getting better. I want to start lifting the big kids weights soon though. Back squat 6 x 5 @ 67.5 Easy(ish) Hang clean pulls 5 x 3 @ 67.5 felt good, easy.
Wed WOD DU & Wall balls. Liked this one. Mental game on the wall balls. Pick up the damn ball!
Food for this week has been good. All to plan, starting to feel a bit hungrier in the mornings so I might have to bump up my post wod feed. MOAR FOOD!!

Saturday 24th. Osteo, then WOD. Which probably was not a good idea. Felt like puking
Back squat 6 x 6 @ 80% = 67.5 Felt a little bit woozy doing these. Do I blame the WOD pre lifting or is that supposed to happen. Weight felt good though, only the last rep of the last couple of sets was really a grind. Snatch 4 x 3 @ 80% (I used Sam's 80%, which is 48 instead of mine which is 40...) 35kgs for two sets, then 37.5kgs for last two. Felt alright, still missing position 1. Must be patient.
Food, bleh, weekend crap of beer, cabanossi, burgers, cheese. Then more beer & sausos on Sunday. Feel shithouse today.

30/08 WOD deadlifts, jump squats T2B. This would have been so much faster if I could hang on to T2B for more than 5 reps.
BB Club Snatch 85% = 35kgs. 4 x 2. Meh, not feeling snatches, still power-ish snatching. Back squat 85% = 70kgs 5 x 5 felt ok, speed was good-ish hang clean pulls 65, 70, 75, 75, 75 5 x 4. ok, now I'm put the weight up i think i am getting more benefit from these.
Food, fine not hungry. damn work kitchen has been out of bananas all week.

Hang Snatch pull, snatch, snatch pull - 30kg 8 x 1. Maybe I'm finally figuring out what the snatch is all about. Felt really light. Clean & Jerk 6 x 2 40 x 2, 45 x 4. Jerks are my kryptonite. Squat 6 x 2 55kg. Back at full range felt good. Muscle ups x 2 just because....
Food good Pain good - no pain at the end of the session which is the first time that's happened in ages.
